Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Journey to Kandy

 On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be greeted by your representative and driven to the cool highlands of Kandy, the gateway to Sri Lanka’s central hills. En route, stop by a spice garden in Matale for a sensory experience of the island’s herbs and spices. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and witness the evening pooja. Enjoy a cultural dance performance before settling into your hotel. Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 2: Botanical Gardens & Scenic Drive to Nuwara Eliya

 After breakfast, take a peaceful morning stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, home to rare orchids and towering palms. Then begin your scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England”. Visit a tea plantation and factory en route to witness Sri Lanka’s iconic tea-making process. On arrival, explore Gregory Lake, colonial bungalows, and the local market. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: Explore Nuwara Eliya – Lakes, Gardens & Temples

 Spend the day discovering Nuwara Eliya’s charming attractions. Visit the Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be linked to the Ramayana legend, and explore the beautifully maintained Hakgala Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a gentle boat ride on Gregory Lake or take afternoon high tea at the Grand Hotel. Relax in the crisp mountain air and scenic surroundings. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Horton Plains & World's End

 Begin early with a journey to Horton Plains National Park, a protected montane ecosystem known for its mist-covered grasslands and cloud forests. Embark on a rewarding trek to World’s End, a sheer cliff with awe-inspiring views, and visit Baker’s Falls along the way. Return to Nuwara Eliya for a leisurely afternoon. Day 6: Ella Adventures – Peaks & Panoramas

 Start your morning with a scenic hike to Little Adam’s Peak, a moderate trail offering stunning views of the Ella Gap and tea valleys below. Later, visit Ravana Falls, cascading dramatically from the mountains, or enjoy a wellness massage or café-hopping experience. The afternoon is free to relax or explore on your own. Day 7: Haputale Highlands & Lipton’s Seat

Take a morning drive to Haputale, a quiet town surrounded by emerald tea fields. Hike or drive up to Lipton’s Seat, one of the most scenic viewpoints in Sri Lanka, where Sir Thomas Lipton once surveyed his tea empire. Visit the Dambatenne Tea Factory, one of the oldest in the region. Return to Ella or stay overnight in Haputale, depending on your preferred pace.

Day 8: Return to Colombo & Departure

 After breakfast, begin your return journey to Colombo, descending from the hills through dramatic landscapes and rural charm. If time permits, enjoy a short city orientation tour of Colombo or relax at a seaside café. Finally, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure, bringing your peaceful hill country retreat to a close.
