Day 1: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Transfer to Negombo

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and be welcomed by your tour representative. Transfer to nearby Negombo, a charming fishing town with colonial influence. Relax at your beachside hotel or take a stroll through the bustling local fish markets.

Day 2: Early Morning Safari at Wilpattu – Transfer to Sigiriya

Depart early (around 4:30 AM) for a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, one of the most untouched wildlife sanctuaries in Sri Lanka. Spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and exotic birds in their natural habitat.
 After lunch, continue your journey to Sigiriya in the Cultural Triangle. Arrive by evening and relax at your jungle lodge.

Day 3: Early Morning Sigiriya Rock Climb & Village Safari

Start your day with a sunrise hike up the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an architectural marvel offering panoramic jungle views. Later, embark on a village tour with a bullock cart ride, traditional cooking demo, and catamaran ride.
 In the evening, unwind at the hotel or explore a nearby forest trail.

Day 4: Minneriya Safari & Transfer to Kandy

After breakfast, head to Minneriya National Park for an exciting jeep safari to witness the world-famous “Elephant Gathering” (seasonal).
 Post-safari, journey toward Kandy with a stop at a spice garden in Matale. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the evening.

Day 5: Scenic Drive to Nuwara Eliya – Tea Trails & Lake Walk

Travel to the highlands of Nuwara Eliya, enjoying lush views along the way. Visit a working tea plantation and factory, and learn the secrets of Ceylon tea. Later, take a peaceful walk around Gregory Lake.

Day 6: Horton Plains & World’s End Hike

Rise early for a nature trek in Horton Plains National Park. Hike to the dramatic cliff of World’s End and witness stunning views and Baker’s Falls. Return for a relaxed afternoon in Nuwara Eliya. Optional high tea at a heritage hotel.

Day 7: Scenic Train Ride to Ella

Board the famous train from Nanu Oya to Ella, one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys. After arrival, visit Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, or relax in a hill-view café.

Day 8: Ella to Yala – Enter Leopard Country

Travel south through lush valleys and dry zones to Yala National Park. Check in at a safari lodge. If time allows, enjoy a nature walk or visit nearby sand dunes.

Day 9: Yala National Park – Morning Safari

Begin the day with a morning safari in Yala, known for its high leopard density, elephants, and diverse ecosystems. Return to your lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or opt for a second safari.

Day 10: Yala to Mirissa – Beach Escape

Leave Yala and drive to the southern coast to Mirissa, a paradise of sun and surf. Relax on the beach or enjoy cocktails at a beach bar as the sun sets.

Day 11: Whale Watching & Coastal Leisure

Embark on a whale and dolphin watching tour (seasonal – November to April) in the early morning. Afternoon is free for beach activities, seafood tasting, or Ayurvedic treatments.

Day 12: Sinharaja Rainforest Exploration

Travel inland to the Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve, a UNESCO-listed tropical rainforest teeming with biodiversity. Enjoy a guided eco-walk through the forest, learning about endemic species and jungle ecosystems.

Day 13: Return to Colombo & Departure

After breakfast, transfer back to Colombo. If time permits, take a brief city tour covering Independence Square, Galle Face Green, and local bazaars. You’ll then be dropped at Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight home, carrying rich memories of Sri Lanka’s wild and wondrous side.
